Sunday, August 16, 2009, even though the All-Star game for the D-League Division started late on Sunday, the All-Star players had fun and showed their skills on the court. Once again BONG BONG the "LOVERBOY" had his SUPERMAN cape on and ready to play, but Oliver Zapanta ended up stealing the spotlight. Forward Oliver Zapanta of the NOYP scored 17 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the Western Conference to a 82-80 win over the Eastern Conference in the 2^nd annual FILCOM D-LEAGUE All-Star Game, played before 100 fans at the Matt Jimenez Arena, Hayward CA.  Oliver Zapanta, appearing in his 2^nd FILCOM All-Star Game, was named the Most Valuable Player. His 13 rebounds were the most in an All-Star Game since Azrin Sanatonio from team P*UNIT grabbed 11 rebounds in the 1^st FILCOM All-Star game in Hayward. Supporting Oliver Zapanta on the offensive end were center Ritchie Chengwa from team OUTLAWZ, with 10 points and 7 rebounds, and guard Irwin Capris from team RAVENS, with a game-high of 12 points. This is the 2nd time the Western won the All-Star game. Eastern Conference has alot of talents on the team, but enough fuel to keep up with the momentum.
